The glossary is a place for the definition of your business terms. Examples may be, “What is an employee”, “What is an active employee”. There can be more than one definition for a business term used in different business units, so a data glossary can provide multiple definitions and include the business unit name for additional information.

The content in the data glossary is information designed to improve business understanding and use of data.

Previously available on the Institutional Knowledge Management website, the data glossary has now been incorporated with data governance and has been moved to our new tool, Axon. You must be logged into the secure.vpn or dc.vpn to view the objects in Axon.

  1. Sign into your VPN
  2. Click here for the Data Glossary website.
  3. Click on “Explore with Unison” or alternatively the Search button at the top to enter. A log in is not required to view objects.
