Effective March 3rd, 2026 the introductory Data Governance and Data Literacy Workday courses will now be mandatory in the online portion of New Employee Orientation for all incoming UCF employees!
This marks a significant milestone in fostering a “data literate” culture at UCF, by ensuring employees are informed from the beginning of the importance of Data Governance and how to become literate in the ever expanding UCF data environment. As a reminder course links can be found below, all are encouraged to take both short courses!
- Introduction to Data Literacy – includes the benefits of data literacy, how data literacy relates to data governance, external and UCF data literacy resources.
- Introduction to Data Governance at UCF – a high level overview of the overall structure of the Data Governance program and council at UCF including roles and responsibilities, collaborative efforts, and initial use case review.
